Gardening can be a time of relaxation and enjoyment. It can bring you solitude with the earth and allow you to
create colorful landscapes for your property that will add to your gardening enjoyment. There are many gardening
tools that help you along the way to creating and maintaining your garden. These tools can include pruners, hedge
clippers, or a shovel and as you become more and more engrossed in your hobby of gardening your tools begin to grow
as well. Without the proper gardening tool storage you can find yourself spending more time searching for the right
tool than the actual gardening itself. Also, if tools are not taken care of and stored properly they can often rust
and lose there sharpness leaving you with tools that are not only harder to use but can be dangerous as well.

Finding one central location is good place to start; this way, when you need any gardening tool or item you know
exactly where to go. Additionally, by storing your tools in one place that is secure who can ensure they are safe
and not a danger to others. Storage for gardening tools does not necessarily have to be a large shed but can
actually be a simple rack to lay your tools or smaller chest to organize. If your garage is spacious enough you can
simply hang your tools or create a tool bench. An easy way to store gardening tools is to buy a galvanized
washbasin which is a zinc covered steel tub that won’t corrode. Fill the tub with sand about 3/4th with sand and
motor oil and put each tool into the sand. This is a great way to make sure your tools maintain their
sharpness.
But maintenance of tools needs to go further than simply storing them correctly. It is important to make sure
you maintain the sharpness of your tools. By keeping your tools sharp you will minimize accidents and make your
gardening more enjoyable. There are a few needed supplies to maintain tools such as a file and light spray oil. You
want to make sure you have a sturdy and solid surface to sharpen tools as well. File at the same angle as the
original tool. For more complicated edges such as a pruner or a saw, there are precision-sharpening sets that can
be purchased at hardware stores. These sets are versatile and can even be used for silverware.
The most important part to storing your tools is safety. By selecting one location you will be able to manage
the area much more easily and monitor all of your tools for sharpness and safety. By doing the leg work to keep
